Every case you start with Refund is saved automatically to your account and accessible at https://refund.co.nz/cases. You don’t need to finish a case in one sitting — come back whenever you’re ready and pick up right where you left off. From the cases page you can track progress, provide extra information, and manage your authority to act.

What you can do from your cases page

  • View the status of each case — see at a glance whether a case is open (in progress), submitted (with the authority), or resolved.
  • Add more evidence or information — if you have additional photos, receipts, or details to support an open case, you can add them at any time before a decision is reached.
  • Withdraw your authority to act — if you change your mind about proceeding with a case, you can withdraw Refund’s authority to act on your behalf at any time, directly from the case page.
  • See correspondence sent on your behalf — review the letters and submissions Refund has prepared and lodged with the relevant authority for each case.
Cases auto-save as you work through the chat — there’s nothing extra to do. You can close the tab, return later, and everything will be exactly as you left it.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — there’s no limit. Each case is tracked independently in your account with its own status, evidence, and correspondence history. You can work on them at whatever pace suits you.
Open the case from your cases page and look for the option to withdraw authority. Once you confirm, Refund will stop acting on that matter immediately. If you’re unsure or need help, contact support@refund.co.nz.
The more accurate and complete your case information is, the stronger the submission Refund can put together on your behalf. If you remember extra details after starting a case — such as signage you noticed or a conversation you had — add them before the case is submitted.
