# Sign In to Your Refund Account (Google or Magic Link)

> Refund uses passwordless sign-in — access your account instantly with Google OAuth or a one-click magic link sent to your email address.

Refund uses passwordless sign-in, so there's no password to create or remember. You can sign in with your existing Google account for the fastest experience, or request a magic link sent straight to your email — either way you're in with just a couple of clicks.

## Sign in with Google

    Open [https://refund.co.nz/login](https://refund.co.nz/login) in your browser.

  <Step title="Click Continue with Google">
    Select the **Continue with Google** button to start the OAuth flow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorise access in the Google popup">
    A Google window will appear. Choose the account you want to use and grant access when prompted.

  <Step title="You're signed in">
    Google redirects you straight to your cases at [https://refund.co.nz/cases](https://refund.co.nz/cases). Any cases you've already started will be waiting there.

## Sign in with a magic link

  <Step title="Enter your email and request a link">
    Type your email address into the field and click **Email me a magic link**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox and click the link">
    Open the email from Refund and click the sign-in link inside. You can do this on any device — it doesn't have to be the same one you requested it from.

  <Step title="You're signed in">
    Clicking the link signs you in and takes you to your cases page automatically.

<Tip>
  Magic links expire after a short time. If the link in your email no longer works, head back to [https://refund.co.nz/login](https://refund.co.nz/login) and request a fresh one — it only takes a few seconds.

<Note>
  The email address you sign in with becomes your account identity. Keep your account name accurate — Refund uses it to sign the letters and submissions sent on your behalf. You can update your name from your account profile at any time.
